About Workbus
Workbus is an independent publication and community launched in February 2025 and is not associated with nor represents the views of any of the companies or businesses associated with the authors on this website. We're just having fun talking about what we love and interests us.
In another time, this would be what you call a "'zine", which is short for a magazine which is a whole other explanation to be given to people under 20 years old now. Anyway, here's how educator and creator Neta Bomani defines a zine:
"A zine is an independently made publication that follows a do-it-yourself philosophy emphasizing expression and connection over exploitation and alienation. Zines have no strict rules or aesthetics, and can feature a variety of content, from radical political writings and personal stories to experimental art."
That about covers it quite well.
What's the business model?
There isn't one!
Why does this exist?
Because it does not exist. Finding a place where one can easily slip into discussions ranging from why Zaxxon was so great to what would have happened if Scott LaFaro had lived to how can will AI impact work is kinda hard to find...therefore this zine.
Wait, is there actually a bus?
Not yet! There's a story about the name for another time. Maybe one day?

Great! How do I get a ticket to ride on this workbus?
Just sign up for the newsletter!
Who and what's behind this?
This guy started it. The site is built on Ghost, which is awesome.
